Thank you for your interest in participating in Boston Hope Music!

In association with vaccination sites at Fenway Park, the Reggie Lewis Center, and Assembly Row, Boston Hope Music will be providing in-person performances and background music for members of the general public as they wait in line to be vaccinated.

Sign up to play

Boston Hope will be organizing musicians to play on weekdays between 10 AM - 3 PM. Please click the button below to sign up for a day/time.

What to do when you get to Fenway

Location: Musicians will enter through Gate D and perform near the patient entrance. The lines are typically not long and patients move through the site quickly. That said, the music provides a relaxing environment to those going through the process. You can find a walk-through video with all relevant details on this page.

Safety protocols: We have worked with the park to provide a safe environment for all. Musicians will be socially distanced from patients and staff and are required to fill out the Red Sox health form on the day they perform and to wear a mask at all times. You will need to show the completed form when you enter the park.

Repertoire: Music selections should be soothing, providing a means to relax patients who may be anxious. We have been specifically asked not to

  • play amplified instruments of any sort

  • sing or play any wind/brass instruments

  • play any renditions of “Sweet Caroline”

What to bring/wear: Be sure to bring a music stand with you! If you are bringing physical sheet music, you may also want to bring a music light and stand clips if you have them, due to lighting and air flow; tablets work great! Cellists are encouraged to bring a rock stop as well; the Park will have chairs available. We encourage you to wear blue and yellow (Boston Hope colors) if you have them; if not, please wear a solid color top and black pants.
