Elena is inspired by the power of music to connect across individuals from different backgrounds in all aspects of life, and by the leadership and community building that are essential whether in a laboratory, boardroom or concert hall.
Elena began her 20-year career in the biopharmaceutical industry as a scientist, later transitioning to R&D strategy & operations where she now serves as a Chief of Staff and Patient Engagement Lead.
Music has been a critical part of Elena's life since age 8 when she began playing violin. Beyond her volunteer work with Kendall Square Orchestra, Elena serves on the advisory board for Women in the Enterprise of Science & Technology (WEST) and Eureka Ensemble, and the Board of Directors for Symphony Pro Musica.
