Rising Tides: Telling the Story of the Changing Climate through Music

About this Event

In partnership with the School for the Environment (SFE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, Eureka Ensemble is leading a series of performances and programs that spark dialogue and raise awareness around the local impacts from the changing climate in New England.

We believe that the best way to address issues around the changing climate is to bring together leaders from academic, business, and creative communities and inspire active dialogue by focusing on local, rather than global, impacts of climate change and what we can do as individuals and communities.

Featuring original works by our 2021 Rising Tides Fellows:

  • Travis AMBROISE

  • Angelina BOTTICELLI (ft. Harborkeepers and Bob Chen)

  • Danny RIVERA

  • Erin VADALA

Additional Music:

  • WHITNEY GEORGE, As the Tide Rises

  • J. ANDRÉS BALLESTEROS, “Pyrenean Ibex,” from Impossible Safari

  • SAM WU, Alien Forests

  • WHITNEY GEORGE, “Reunion Ibis,” from Extinction Series for Solo Cello

  • ANTONIN DVORÁK, Cypresses (excerpts)

  • LILI BOULANGER, Psalm 24, The Earth is the Lord’s

The full event, including final versions of the songs and additional environmental-themed music, will take place on April 30th at 7pm EDT.
