Stella Brooks

Flute

Stella Brooks is a NYC born flutist currently pursuing a bachelors of music in classical flute performance at New England Conservatory with Cynthia Meyers of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in some of the greatest concert halls in the USA, including Symphony Hall, David Geffen Hall, Seiji Ozawa Hall, Jordan Hall, and Carnegie Hall alongside the Canadian Brass. She is an alumnus of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, participating in its Young Artists Orchestra and Flute Workshop from 2015-2017. She won the 2017 LaGuardia High School of Music & Art Concerto Competition and has also performed in her previous youth orchestra’s (the ISO Symphony) Honors Recital twice.

Now a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Stella will be going on tour to Europe with the organization this June. At NEC, she is a member of the Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Winds, as well as performing in the NEC Jazz Orchestra.

Stella has previously studied with Gretchen Pusch of the Dorian Wind Quintet for seven years, as well as Soo Kyung Park and Keith Underwood.
