Seann Avery

French Horn

A native of Los Angeles, Seann is a graduate of Idyllwild Arts Academy in CA, The Juilliard School (B.M.) with the Fatterphwite Scholarship, and New England Conservatory (M.M.) with the William A. Valkenier Scholarship. 

Notable teachers he has studied with include Anthony G. Morris (former principal, Bruckner Orchestra in Linz, Austria), Jean Rife (retired Principal, Boston Baroque), Michael Winter (Boston Symphony), Jason Snider (Boston Symphony), Barbara Joestlein (Metropolitan Opera), and Julie Landsman (retired Principal, Metropolitan Opera). He has recorded and performed with East Coast Scoring, performed as guest principal with Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra and North End Music and Performing Arts Center Orchestra. He has also played in the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra as assistant principal and with the Santa Barbara Symphony as an extra. 

Seann greatly values the importance of community outreach and bringing music to children who may not have access to classical music. He has participated in the Community Partnership and Performances with New England Conservatory and played many educational concerts throughout the Boston community with his horn quartet and brass quintet. He believes in bringing positivity into music, inspiring his students through constructive and encouraging ideas and helping them find their unique voice.
