For Women’s Chorus Members:
Three Core Values
1. EVERY VOICE IS EQUAL
The Women’s Chorus is open to everyone. It is a safe space to be vulnerable, to grow together with others, and experience the healing power of music and singing.
2. BE RESPECTFUL
Please respect everyone’s personal space in rehearsal. Do not interrupt someone else when they are talking. If you have a question, suggestion, or comment, please raise your hand and frame what you say as a request – “I have a request that…”.
3. BE KIND
We are all here to grow together by singing together. Since we are all at different levels of singing, please always show kindness and patience in rehearsal with other singers.
We meet-up every Wednesday and Friday morning (9–11 AM) at the Church of the Covenant, upstairs from Women’s Lunch Place (WLP). Please access the church through WLP.
Come and experience what it means to be part of a community where everyone is welcomed, regardless of how much singing experience you have! We sing all kinds of music from songs that everyone knows and loves, to songs that you might not know but you will love.
Private lessons take place every Thursday (11:00 AM–1:30 PM) at the offices of the Women’s Lunch Place (WLP). You can sign up for a lesson with one of our staff or the WLP staff. On the day of, please meet your instructor at the 3rd floor conference room 5 minutes before your scheduled time, then knock when it is your time so that your instructor can let you in.
