Music for Food Featuring Violist Kim Kashkashian

  • New England Conservatory (map)

WHO: Music For Food (MFF) and violist Kim Kashkashian

WHAT: Performance featuring Betty Olivero’s Neharo’t Neharo’t. Neharo't Neharo't means 'Rivers Rivers' in Hebrew and refers to the rivers and floods of tears which are too often shed by mourning women in disastrous situations. The title contains also an element of hope: the root of the Hebrew word 'nahar' (river) resembles the word 'nehara', meaning 'ray of light'.

WHEN: October 20th, 8 PM at New England Conservatory

WHY: MFF seeks to help with local hunger relief by creating concerts that raise awareness & funds, including a food drive. This aligns with Eureka’s focus on empowering people experiencing homelessness in a direct, material way; specifically our focus on women both in Kim as a female leader in arts and social action, and MFF/Eureka share a core partner in Women’s Lunch Place.

Concert is FREE TO ATTEND:
