Fearless Project #3 (North End)

FREE AND OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC TO ATTEND

EUREKA IS TEAMING UP WITH THE BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY (BPL) TO CREATE A SERIES OF CONCERTS AT SIX BRANCHES OF THE BPL AIMED AT EMPOWERING FEMALE VOICES IN THE ARTS THROUGH PERFORMANCE AND INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS WITH YOUNG AUDIENCES.

Each event will consist of two parts.

The first half will feature chamber performances of works by women composers and brief reflections by Eureka musicians on said composers’ social and musical significance.

During the second half, the musicians will perform simplified transcriptions of contemporary pop hits and familiar songs, again by women artists, and teach young volunteers from the audience to play, sing, drum, or clap  along with them. Eureka musicians will have a supply of instruments on loan from our partner organization, the Musary, to facilitate the latter half of the event.
